Call for Papers

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the NIA’s Alzheimer’s Disease Research Centers (ADRCs) Program and the 25th anniversary of the National Alzheimer’s Coordinating Center (NACC), as well as the 10th anniversary of NIAGADS and 35th anniversary of NCRAD, Alzheimer’s & Dementia is pleased to issue a call for papers for a Special Issue of the Journal. This issue will be devoted to the foundational importance of these key programs, their contribution to the field of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia research, and their ongoing relevancy and impact in the era of emerging biomarkers, disease modifying treatments, advanced digital tools, and computational methodologies.

- Advancing early detection
- Disentangling disease heterogeneity
- Validating blood biomarkers
- Identifying and stratifying risk factors and protective mechanisms
- Developing precision medicine solutions
- Ensuring the diversity and generalizibility of findings
